Après une série d'événements malheureux, Mok Hae-won quitte son travail à Séoul et retourne dans le village de Bookhyun, dans la province de Gangwon, où elle a brièvement vécu lorsqu'elle était au lycée. Elle y retrouve son ancien camarade de classe et voisin, Im Eun-seob. Lui aussi est revenu à Bookhyun après avoir quitté le village pendant quelques années et possède désormais une librairie.
