Le beau-père de Tshui-giok la vend à un club pour rembourser sa dette. Son petit ami, Kok-liong, tente de la libérer et envisage de l'épouser, mais sa mère désapprouve et lui fait épouser une fille riche, Hun-kiau. Des années plus tard, ils se retrouvent.
